Luncheon With the Author

Howard and Rhonda attended a Luncheon with the Author, hosted by Karen Mann and her students at Godby High School. They had just finished reading Howard's first book, Elder Affairs -Silenced.

The students drew a mural depicting the characters of the novel, along with any words that they had difficulty understanding. The students received a copy of either Elder Affairs -Silenced or Leave No Witnesses, Howard's sequel.

Seven Hills Writer's Conference

If you missed the Seven Hills Writer's Conference, you missed a wonderful weekend. It was a delight to meet new friends and visit with old friends. The seminars were informative. My only regret was that I couldn't go to all of them. I am trying to put to use all of the tips that we received from Sylvia Hubbard who taught a session on marketing. Check out her blog at http://www.sylviahubbard.blogspot.com Also, Barbara Joe Williams did a seminar on Self Publishing, www.barbarajoe.blogspot.com.

For those interested in writing for magazines, Barbara Harris from Shape Magazine, told us about Hot Buttons and understanding the market that you are writing for. She was also the keynote speaker at the banquet on Saturday night. I hope that you were as inspired by her address as I was.

If you live in the Tallahassee area, join us on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30p.m. on the Ground floor of the Tallahassee Senior Center, on the corner of 7th and North Monroe (1400 N. Monroe St..

Don't forget to vist our web page http://elliotfiction.com and read about Elder Affiars Silenced.

Howard and Rhonda at Book Fair Posted by Picasa

E. Howard Jones at Tattered Pages

Saturday, Howard was at Tattered Pages in Crawfordville. He signed books and had a chance to meet with an aspiring sixteen-year-old writer. Drop in sometime and pick up a copy of his book, Elder Affairs Silenced.

Things were busy that day, I was at the Hope for Haiti Luncheon. Howard had presigned copies of his book available for sale. Quite a few artists sang and played at the luncheon. It was a great day.
